After sitting out the previous two rounds due to issues with sponsorship, I was excited to get back in the car in Hungary to carry on my FIA Formula 2 journey.
Sadly, from the very start it didn’t go to plan. During practice we had a brake issue after only a few laps and crashed at turn 1. The team did a great job to repair the car in time for qualifying.
With limited running in practice I was on the back foot for qualifying and could only manage the 16th fastest time.
In the Feature Race I was determined to climb up the field. We had good pace and were running smoothly until my engine expired with just two laps to go.
Hungary is a hard track to overtake and it was far from ideal to start at the back for the Sprint Race. I pushed on throughout and brought the car home.
